Tell us a little about yourself

I moved to Hong Kong from America for work, and fitness has been crucial for me in terms of managing the stress of living in such a fast paced city, as well as finding a community and making friends. If I’m not on the megaformer, you can probably find me running, swinging kettlebells, doing handstands, folding myself into a pretzel – really any form of functional fitness.

Do you remember your first Mega class, what was it like for you?

Sure do. I came with a friend and was skeptical about the intensity of the workout. I was running and lifting every day and also doing yoga regularly and thought Mega was going to be easy. Turns out it was the most challenging but rewarding workout I’ve ever done, and I was instantly hooked. Muscles I didn’t even know I had were sore, and I found myself coming back again and again as I pushed to get better and stronger.

Any advice for new students who are feeling nervous?

Your first couple of classes might feel intimidating, but stick with it. The exercises all have weird names, but once you understand the mechanics of the movements, it all starts to click. Before long you’ll see yourself transform. It won’t ever get easier, but you’ll get stronger.

How has the megaformer changed your body?

The megaformer has sculpted my lean muscles in a way that no other machine or form of exercise really has before. Not only do those muscles look better than ever, but they’re so much more functional too. They’re more mobile, can endure more time under tension, and just generally perform better.

What sort of music do you like? What 3 songs are on repeat?

I. love. Music. So. Much. I love exploring new artists on Spotify and finding hidden gems. I have so much music to share, my class playlists change at least once a week.

What can people expect from your classes?

I think my classes are challenging but fair. I believe in sticking to the classic moves sequenced well for maximum effect. My routines are a full body workout with special emphasis on core and obliques.
