We are so glad to feature the amazing Connie! She is the first (of hopefully many) clients to complete 1000 classes since opening the studio doors in January, 2013.

As a thank you we treated Connie to a photoshoot with her beloved Megaformer. Scroll down to see a sneak peak of the photos, and read a little more about her first time at H-Kore, how she stays motivated, and what tunes she would be playing if she were teaching.

Can you remember your first class? How did you feel during and after?

YES - I will never forget the incredible soreness that lasted for at least 3 days afterwards. It was painful, yet so satisfying at the same time – there’s no doubt that all my muscles got a real workout, including the ones I never knew I had.

If you were a trainer, what 3 songs would you have on your playlist?

So tough to only pick 3.. Sia – The Greatest. Ed Sheeran – Shape of You. Britney Spears – Work B….

What is your favourite move, what is your least favourite?

Favourite: Wheelbarrow/French Twist/Snake/Bear/Plank – all the goodie workouts for the abs. Least Favourite: I don’t want to say in case Geoff/Garth read this and make me do more of them, but I think they already know.

How do you motivate yourself when you feel like skipping a class?

I don’t need to – sometimes it’s the only thing I look forward to in the day, it’s my me time and I feel super guilty when I miss one. Ultimately, you’re only cheating yourself when you skip a class.

Hong Kong is full of temptations, what's your guilty indulgence?

1. Whisky 2. Fries

What would you say to people who think H-Kore is for women?

They’re entitled to what they think, and to do what works for them. But there’s absolutely no reason why anyone would think that strengthening and toning exercises are for women only.

Do you agree that H-Kore classes never get easier?

I would say it never gets easy because there are infinite ways to increase the intensity of the workout, guaranteeing that you always feel challenged, no matter how many classes you’ve done.

What physical changes have you noticed since joining H-Kore?

I’m stronger, leaner, I have more energy and have better posture. As a result, I feel more alert, positive, self-confident and overall just more content. It’s literally changed my entire life and I love it.
