MEET Cristina..


Tell us a little about yourself

I call Earth home as I have been fortunate enough to have lived in many cities around the world. I seem to always return to Hong Kong, this is now my fourth time living here. I have always been curious about wellness and movement. I studied Sports Nutrition and Exercise prescription after high school and became a Personal Trainer. I use to have a food blog back in 2009 for a few years. I am an ocean lover but you can also find me happily camping in the forest and mountains. If I could turn back time for a week,, I would have love to be teleported back to the days of th Art Deco era. To lift my spirits when I have had a rough day, I turn on some music and DANCE!!!

    What first drew you to a yoga class

    It was in Beijing in 2008, a girlfriend and I wanted to find another way to move our bodies instead of always going to the gym.

      What has your yoga practice given you that you weren’t expecting?

        Tell us a little about your yoga classes and what students can expect.

        My yoga classes are alignment based, challenging and fun! Students learn how to use their bodies with a deeper awareness from bones to skin.

          Do you have a favourite yoga pose?

          1. Trikonasana - there is so much going on in this pose and it feels SO good!
          2. Sirsasana - it is calming for me.
          3. And you can’t beat Adho Mukha Svanasana - Downward Facing Dog

          How do you motivate yourself on days when you don’t feel like practicing or training?

          I remind myself how much clarity I have in the mind and the vitality I feel in my body after I have moved,

            What sort of music do you like? What 3 songs are on repeat?

            I love ALL kinds of music.

            What’s your favourite thing to do in your downtime?

            Find a patch of grass with the sun on my skin, watch the world go by, journal or read a book then open up a picnic basket, have some yummy food to eat as I sip a glass of wine watching the sun set and the moon rise.
