As our Trainer in the Spotlight this month, Xiomara shares her experience and why you need to book a class with her very soon!

Why do you love CircuitKore?
CircuitKore is an effective and efficient 45 minute workout which combines circuit-training with high intensity interval training. This class gets the heart rate up, burns calories, improves mobility and strengthens your whole body. We incorporate mobility, strength, stretching and sweating which will leave you feeling energised and happy!
What happens in the class?
We workout in a small group setting to ensure every student is taught correctly and at the appropriate level (classes are limited to 15 clients). We have a 5 minute warm up to get the body moving and to improve mobility.
You'll move through 5 strengthening stations 3 times, blended with 2 rounds of Tabata and HIIT. Like our Megaformer classes, no two CircuitKore classes will ever be the same.
Expect to learn Russian twists, reverse burpees, bear crawls, ostrich walks, dragon squats and more. Sounds like fun? It is!
Tell us what made you passionate about fitness?
I was studying psychology at university and I went to a gym close to my home where I met my husband, he was the fitness instructor there and I fell in love with his passion for movement and fitness. His passion was contagious and in 2000, I started teaching cycling classes in Bodytech, the biggest gym chain in South America.
What is your career highlight? One of the highlights of my career was being able to work for Les Mills. I was Trainer to the Instructors for more than 10 years and I learnt so much from them. Of course I can not forget the Bodybalance DVD! That was a dream come true!
Do you remember your first H-Kore class?
Yes, I do remember my first class! I stopped all the time and I felt like it was the hardest workout I had ever done. It was just completely different to anything I'd done before, it was challenging and motivating!! I see challenge as a motivation!
What is your favourite Lagree exercise and why?
I love all the central core exercises! Reverse wheelbarrow, because after pregnancy my core was so weak.
What is your least favourite Lagree exercise and why? *Laughs* Elevator lunge! I have tight hip flexors and always have to stop. I am still struggling but getting better each time - practice makes perfect!
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I love, love, love avocado mayonnaise, that’s my guilty pleasure. I can eat the whole jar!
